He giggles. "I did say I can't speak any foreign languages for the life of me."

"Yeah, but it's pronounced 'Quelle surprise'," he says, pronouncing it like 'Kell soo-r-preez'. "That's not that difficult? The 'u' and the 'r' in 'surprise' are just like... uh..."

Turns out it's actually pretty difficult to explain it through English words.

"Okay, no, I get it."

He tries it anyway. And continues failing.

"Yeah, don't worry. The 'R' doesn't appear in English, but I didn't think it was that hard to pronounce."

"Yes, not one of my many strengths."

"You could try German? The pronunciation isn't too difficult? Or maybe Japanese... that has fewer vowels?"

"It's not just the pronunciation."

"The vocab is pretty difficult, I guess? ... and the grammar. And things like politeness pronouns. Okay, I can see why you wouldn't like languages."

He laughs. "I don't dislike them, I'm just very not-good at them."

"Oh well. Lucky I'm good at them, I guess? If anything comes up."

"Like what?"

"I don't know? Maybe we meet some French person with a card, and for some reason they speak no English at all, and: yay! I can speak some French, so we're not totally stuck."

Or, you know, after all the card drama is over, they can holiday together. If they're still together. And alive.

"My mind has just gone to the gutter."

"... Why?"

"Because there must be so many things you can do with your tongue, speaking languages like that."

"That's an interesting connection to make..." he says.

Oh look. They're still naked.

"There are so many things we haven't tried yet, some of them involve this."

Theo blushes a little at that. "Uh— um. I mean, uh, there are..." he says, then laughs a bit nervously.

"Aren't you adorably cute when you blush."

He still doesn't know what to say. He settles for, "Um."

Was that another nervous chuckle? Why, you might think Theo's embarrassed by the suggestion.

"What did I do to cause this? I want to do it more."

"I don't know! And I'm not sure I want it more!" he says, still sounding a little... nervously giggly.

Well now he's just begging for giggly kisses. "I'm going to find new ways to embarrass you, don't worry."

Theo ignores the horrors of embarrassment by returning the kisses.

It seems like he really likes kisses.
